Asian stars Josie Ho (何超儀, Dream Home 維多利亞壹號) and Chin Han (黃經漢, The Dark Knight) are to join the superstar cast of Stephen Soderbergh's Contagion which will film extensively in Hong Kong.
The film, an action-thriller about a deadly disease and an international team of doctors contracted to deal with the outbreak, stars Matt Damon, Laurence Fishburne, Jude Law, Marion Cotillard and Kate Winslet.
It is still in pre-production, several weeks out from filming, and is understood to shoot in Los Angeles, Chicago and other international locations.
Production is through Double Feature Films and Participant Media with Warner Bros on board as studio-level distributor.
The Hong Kong shoot will be conducted in association with local line production firm October Pictures (拾月堂), which previously provided services to The Dark Knight, Spy Game and Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Cradle Of Life.
