Busan's Asian Film Market has announced that it will host an expanded number of films and industry screenings this year (8-10).
Market organisers said that 70 films will be given a total of 80 screenings at the Lotte Cinema in Centum City (pictured). That compares with 62 films and 66 screenings last year. The number of market premieres remains the same at 35.
Most of the movies in the Busan market are market-only screenings, though there are some 22 pictures which are also shown elsewhere in the Busan festival. These include the opening film Cold War 寒戰, Golden Lion winner Pietà 피에타 and South Korean blockbuster The Thieves 도둑들.
