Deshpande makes Eros comeback

Jyoti DESHPANDE has been reappointed as CEO and managing director of Eros International PLC, the major Indian film distributor.
Kishore LULLA, currently chairman and CEO of the company, will revert to his previous role of executive chairman.
Deshpande will also be appointed as an executive director of Eros International Media Ltd the company's Mumbai-listed subsidiary.
She has been with the company in different roles for over a decade and was appointed CEO in January 2010, but stepped aside for a prolonged period of leave.
"I am looking forward to picking up where I left off and excited about continuing a successful journey with Eros," she said in a statement.
"The Board of Eros welcomes Jyoti back with open arms. She has been an instrumental part of our growth story and is ideally placed to take the company to new heights," said Lulla in a statement.
