Mega-Vision close deals on Vegas to Macau

At that start of the American Film Market, Hong Kong's Mega-Vision Pictures Ltd 影王朝有限公司 has closed deals with multiple territories on WONG Jing 王晶's From Vegas to Macau 賭城風雲 starring CHOW Yun-fat 周潤發 and Nicholas TSE 謝霆鋒.

The film has sold to Shaw Organisation Pte Ltd 邵氏機構榮譽呈獻 in Singapore, Golden Screen Cinemas Sdn Bhd in Malaysia and Mono Film in Thailand. It is in talks to close a Taiwan distribution deal during AFM. Bona Film Group Co Ltd 博納影業集團有限公司, who is an investor, has rights in China.

The film opens in China, Hong Kong and other Chinese-speaking territories on 30 Jan 2014, on the eve of Chinese New Year. It will compete against Soi CHEANG 鄭保瑞's 3-D The Monkey King 西遊記之大鬧天宮 starring Donnie YEN 甄子丹, which is currently scheduled to open on 31 Jan 2014.

Mega-Vision are also in Santa Monica to close deals on WONG Ching-po 黃精甫's action film Once Upon a Time in Shanghai 上海灘馬永貞 (2013). It has produced a documentary, From Zero to Hero, for television broadcast to promote its action star Philip NG 伍允龍 in his first leading role.

Shanghai, which also stars Sammo HUNG 洪金寶, Andy ON 安志杰 and JIANG Luxia 蔣璐霞, with action choreography by YUEN Woo-ping 袁和平, opens in Chinese-speaking territories in January 2014.
