Eros International Media Ltd has signed a deal with Jimmy Shergill Productions for actor-turned-producer Jimmy SHERGILL (pictured) to produce four Punjabi-language films.
The first, Taur mitran di, directed by Navaniat SINGH, has already moved into production and stars Amrinder GILL, Ranvijay SINGH, Surveen CHAWLA and Amita PATHAK.
"Punjabi cinema is growing with every film and I am really happy to tie-up with Eros as a systematic corporate approach will help us take Punjabi cinema forward and present on a global platform," said Shergill in a prepared statement. He will feature in the untitled second film on the slate, set to shoot from Feb 2012.
