Takagi tops Toei Animation

Veteran executive TAKAGI Katsuhiro 高木勝裕 has been named as president of Toei Animation Co Ltd 東映アニメーション, the company said today. He was promoted from senior director.
With the company for more than 30 years, Takagi is expected to build the studio's international partnerships and expand its animation leadership.
Since its founding in 1956, Toei Animation has produced more than 10,000 episodes of TV series (more than 200 titles) and more than 200 long feature films as of March, 2012.
"As we roll-out several new and exciting titles before the end of the year, I look forward to working with our committed team," said Takagi in a statement.
