The UK's Terracotta Far East Film Festival has shifted from May to April (12-15 April 2012) and has set Korean war epic My Way 마이 웨이 (2011) as its opening event at London's Prince Charles cinema. It will close with Japan's Himizu ヒミズ (2011).
In between, the festival will screen Arirang 아리랑 (2011), Warriors of the Rainbow: Seediq Bale 賽德克・巴萊 (2011), Inseparable 形影不離 (2011), Return to Burma 歸來的人 (2011), From Up on Poppy Hill コクリコ坂から (2011), The Woodsman and the Rain キツツキと雨 (2011) and UFO in Her Eyes (2011).
Novelties this year include a Terror Cotta strand in association with Fright Fest, which will include Zombie 108 棄城 and Gyo, as well as classic The Grudge; and the Breakfast Club strand including Korean comedies Dancing Queen 댄싱퀸 (pictured) and the international premiere of Couples 커플즈 (2011).
In a connected move, Terracotta Distribution has acquired UK rights to Enemy at the Dead End 죽이고 싶은 (2010), Antique 서양골동양과자점 앤티크 (2008) and KIM Ki-duk 김기덕 | 金基德's Arirang from Finecut Co Ltd 화인컷; Petty Romance 쩨쩨한 로맨스 (2010) from M-Line Distribution 엠라인 디스트리뷰션; Return To Burma from Flash Forward Entertainment 前景娛樂有限公司; and Danny PANG 彭發's Fairy Tale Killer 追凶 from Universe Films Distribution Co Ltd 寰宇影片發行有限公司.
