South Korean casino heist movie The Thieves 도둑들 (2012) has completed its location shooting on Macau.

The thriller, directed by CHOI Dong-hoon 최동훈 | 崔東勳, now moves to various studio and locations in South Korea until late this year. Its release, previously signalled at the end of 2011, is now set for summer 2012.

The film's cast is headlined by KIM Yun-seok 김윤석 | 金允錫 and includes KIM Hye-su 김혜수 | 金憓秀, Gianna JUN 전지현 | 全智賢, LEE Jeong-jae 이정재 | 李政宰 and KIM Hae-suk 김해숙 | 金海淑.

Some Chinese talent joined the film during its Macau stint, headed by Simon YAM 任達華; Derek TSANG 曾國祥 and Angelica LEE 李心潔 have supporting roles.

A spokesman at financier, distributor and international sales representative Showbox/Mediaplex Inc 쇼박스 미디어플렉스 confirmed that The Thieves is now set as the English-language title; it was presented at recent markets as The Professionals.

The film is produced by AN Su-hyeon 안수현 | 安修賢's Caper Film 케이퍼필름.
