The 37th Toronto International Film Festival (6-16 Sep 2012) is to hold a one-day Asian Film Summit at this year's September event.
Asian superstar Jackie CHAN 成龍 and Christopher J. DODD, head of the Motion Picture Association of America Inc (MPAA), are confirmed to attend the summit, which will be held on Monday 10 Sep.
According to Toronto's artistic director Cameron BAILEY the summit is intended to bring together industry leaders in production, finance, distribution, exhibition and policy.
The festival has become a significant launch pad for films into North America and the city counts a large and enthusiastic Asian population. Toronto has previously announced that India's film and financial capital Mumbai will be this year's 'City to City' focus.
