YOU On Demand, a US-backed Chinese online video company, has struck a deal with rights owner K2 Communications giving YOU access to films originally conceived for IMAX giant screen theatres.
Titles covered by the agreement include Oscar-nominated films including Dolphins, narrated by Pierce Brosnan with original music performed by Sting, Amazon (pictured), narrated by Linda Hunt and The Living Sea, narrated by Meryl Streep. It picks up rights to show them on transactional video on a demand (TVOD) and subscription video on demand (SVOD) basis.
